Does your shaper surf???

...a few shots of Bing shaper Matt Calvani on his way to winning the Quiksilver Edition Vintage Longboard Contest at San-O. Kind of a small trophy but the smile on his face says it all," The real trophy is beating the guy with the sweet handle bar mustache."(Rubio?) Congratulations Matt and thanks for the beautiful 9'6" Silver Spoon with the extremely difficult resin work. It's been enjoyed by many.

Cool. My second board ever was a Calvani.

He was always a cool head to whoever you were in Hermosa.

I'm really stoked that a surfer/shaper won a contest sponsored by Quiksilver considering that Quik is planning on flooding the American market with surfboards from China. Maybe this win will get their attention?

So you finally got to meet the 'Grim Reaper.' Great guy with the best job ever.

That storm did nothing for us up here except destroy our perfectly groomed sandbars. It did give us one day of decent head high stuff.

It was pretty nasty for a couple of days though....http://www.surfkdh.com/
