Concert Review: Band of Horses

...quick review: Music Farm 1/20/08, lots of beards (even on the girls), opening band should change their name to Band of Hosers, drunk people are really annoying and the greatest test of my patience (how many times can the same person bump into you with realizing they are bumping into you?) Band of Horses dominated it.

I was in the shop over the past two weeks. During the same time I was in other surf shops. I am not new to the sport so I don't need much help with product information. However, of the three employees in Tim's store at that time (weekend), only one new what customer service is in the retail industry. One of them (i.e. some blond head dude that wears his hat backwards - see: Anthony Michael Hall of 1985 times), SUCKS at customer service. I witnessed the latter employee literally throw paper information to a customer in a "hear-take-this-and-read-it-biatch" attitude. His attitude spoke as if he was doing me, and others, a favor by sharing HIS time with my questions. I hope someone will educate him in that these customers give him job security...oh wait, that's the problem, he is in a constant state of apathy except, as visualized, except when it comes to lunch time. So, he probably doesn't care!
On another note, kudos to the tall (6'0+) dark head employee that helped me. He was of positive attitude and retail savvy of customer service. He wanted to actually be of assistance and make a sale. I am sure Tim would be proud! It sucks Bear wasn't there b/c then there would of been two good examples of how one should behave in the retail industry.
Of note, I have read on other post/blog sites how people complain of the same worker I am complaining about. I have given Old Tim and Tim, Jr. my business for multiple years, and this is the first time I have wanted to let an employee know that he is being a rude jerk.
Maye Tim could have them have training from the staff at the Parrot Surf Shop!?

My favorite part about the show was when they played 'No Ones Gonna Love You'...

"It's looking like a limb torn off
Or altogether just taken apart
We're reeling through an endless fall
We are the ever-living ghost of what once was

But no one is ever gonna love you more than I do
No one's gonna love you more than I do

And anything to make you smile
It is my better side of you to admire
But they should never take so long
Just to be over then back to another one

But no one is ever gonna love you more than I do
No one's gonna love you more than I do"

I understand Sir, because the last time I was in Parrot Surf shop, one of the parakeets was rude to me and I've been giving Old Parrot and Parrot Jr. my business for years, sorry just a few years. But every time I go into the store now Polly just keeps saying fock off four eyes over and over again.

This is exactly why I shop at the mall. No attitude. No surfers. Lots of hot middle school chicks and my ego never gets hurt.

Who farted?

Wait, who's Old Tim and who's Tim Jr.?

Those mall chicks rule. I like sitting around outside the food court talking about how I surf and go to all the local shops. They love it that I do not need product information. Hey I heard their going to carry bilabong at pennies, kudos, I am stoked mr hand.
fat black chicks rule biatch.

Hey anon from above. I love these internet things. I especially like hearing from guys like you. I too enjoy visiting local surf shops, not for product info of course, just to chat. I have never had a negative experience but I do enjoy talking to that (6'0+) dark head employee. He makes my thing move and I can tell you feel the same way. Lets meet up (weekend)at the shop. Stall number two. I promise I am gentle, I'll be wearing my hat backward.

The ignorance being displayed here by the general population is abject. I do not know how the topic got to be about "sexual predator" and/or "pervert" talk!? In a general sample of our population there always seems to be the proverbial jerk/SOB!

"Old Tim" ???

His name was Dennis and he is and will always be a local surf legend to anyone over 35.

Maybe anonymous is not new to the sport, just new to the area.

You 2 anons should "meat" at the washout instead of the shop though as I don't want to hear all the grunting and groaning...and feed a meter while you're there.

My favourite employee is the dark haired girl with the nice smile and pretty face....

Sorry if I did not give you the attention you deserve. I do care about costumer service and the future of this shop. Next time you are in say hello and mention this post.
Thanks

The "hat kid" has my utmost respect...he always is helpful and knows his %$&*. He's good to me and my kids.

I said "pretty face" not "pretty mouth"

Ian has a pretty mouth?? I always thought his man breasts were his most stellar feature.
