6 more weeks of winter...

...well I got to work today and saw my shadow (work shadow that is) so it looks like we'll have a another 6 weeks of winter this year. Here is my shadow Sam and myself with his favorite board in the shop. We both have a soft spot for the ...Lost round nose fish and for obvious reasons: best. board. ever.

Hey folks just making sure info on the meeting on the 7th at 8:30 am is posted at the top of the new blog post. Be there, city hall, to fight for the pier.

Sam totally dominated shadow day. He jumped right in and helped out in the trenches of baggies. To top it off, I asked him to do some artwork for surfboards and when I came to check on him he was drawing skulls and flames and listening to Guns 'N' Roses. Awesome!

Sorry to sneak this in on Sam's glory...but it's the most recent post.

For those of you gutless nuts who are voting "I don't surf the pier"...you may not surf it and you may not use a longboard or whatever....but, by not giving a rip you're opening the door to more restrictions....support those of us who do surf the pier...the same as we'd support you.

.beware of the city offering to "compromise" by deleting references to surfing but adding "lifeguards".I don't think we want lifeguards anywhere we surf. They're just gonna boss us around or make us leave .Like when the county park opened up at the Isle of Palms pier,no more surfing there.

Hey folks, just wanted you to know that Mayor Carl Beckman's phone number is 843-588-9230. Give him a call. He would love to talk about the surfing restrictions.
