friday bonus...

...Chris Ward and Tom Curren ripping Lowers. Take special note of time code 3:54 of the video, and put that move into practice. You don't need to be one of the best ever to do it, but it should be the first move you learn.

He looks back to see if he dropped in on somebody. But you wouldn't get the point, would you?

I am hesitant to duck out of the way though. I saw a guy get shredded like a turkey on Thanksgiving from the fins of a board going over him.

The first section is Chris Ward, and the second is Tom Curren. Chris Ward would not look to see if he dropped in on you and probably run you over, but Tom Curren actually looks too see if he dropped in on somebody.

Tom Curren = Surfing Etiquette

I've seen him surf several North San Diego County beaches and everytime he is completely unobtrusive. He is respectful of the locals and still gets the best waves of the day. All surfers would do well to model their etiquette after a master like Tom Curren.

I like the last minute under the lip take off Curren does on his first wave when he realizes the wave is going unridden.

Grrr, your the f-ing king of drop ins...or "carnival waves" as you like to call em when turning last minute to burn one of your boys.

Pot calling the Kettle black.

They're "party waves" and its ok if you let someone go in front of you. Your plastic fantastic can't keep up anyway.
