Valdeez just jealous because Ian only puts REAL surfers on his blog. Not ones that have to have their Mommie drive her Range out of the gates of Kiawah. If you go anywhere else on the east coast the groms rip. In The Charleston area kids are kooks. Go to an ESA event and watch the Jrs. and Boys divisions surf they can hardly stand up.

ill bet my life that evan tanner couldnt even compete with the girls in other states. he only surfs bc his dad and thats it. Other groms should get way more recognition. People say he just needs to get bigger but I SAY JUST LOOK AT CAM RICHARDS!!

Yeah, Cam Richards can surf...period! There are some surfers hooked up through surf shops with big name sponsers and have skills that are at the most "average". Grooms that are dedicated to the sport and show lots of potential should get the industry deals.

If you are a hard working grom and really want to excel in surfing than you deserve to get sponsorships. Most the kids around the Charleston community do not even surf but once a week.
You obviously haven't seen Evan Tanner surf. Each member of the Tanner family surfs better than you, even their dog rips.
Only Kooks fight about groms. Where is their role models? It seems like there isn't any on Folly Beach. Just a bunch of wannabes fighting over children who think riding an anklebiter is RAD. That is why they are not sponsered, not because their dad runs the least crappy surf shop.
