So now the question is....How much is airfaire to Peru?? That's beautiful....

So who wants in?

With the cost of extra baggage i.e. your surfboard and not girlfriend.. i dont think anyone an afford to fly.

Wouldn't that be 'going left'?

Welcome to the blog...

See at least I didn't bring up the whole left/right thing... who cares if you're directionally challenged.....look a those lines!

Djjahd, the key is to get the extra baggage (the girlfriend) to pay for the airfare.... geez, have you learned nothing??

Nice pic.

Airfare to Peru can often run about the same price as a flight to Costa Rica.

Sadly, humans are sheep and usually just end up sticking with what they know which In Ians is often a couple drunken nights in Jaco Beach with a six dollar Tamarindo tranny.

Dont forget to watch the debates.

Six dollar tranny? Hell, the prices have gone up! Damn the economy.

the Tamarindo trannys just don't compare with the Jaco trannies.

ok.... back to old kook paying for a select few of us to go to Peru... we can talk about the debates and nasty trannies on the way... get some ocean love this week peeps...

I'm so stoked! I just found a new source for killer boards and they're not "that Popout junk!". These would be killer for Peru!!! I didn't realize we had a new surf shop at IOP. (It looks like some dude's living room, but hey it just looks homey). So check out these cool deals....I figure all my "brahs" should be in on the killer deals. Break one, buy another, 'cause they're not "popout junk".

I'm about pissing myself over this.

WTH? How'd that guy get all those boards? I mean, I know people have quivers, but quivers with brand new boards? Something's fishy about that.

I'm willing to bet he's mass ordered from the company "Bilt" and is reselling as a distributor. Check out their website (I googled it). It looks like your typical "lets build a crap load of crap boards and pass ourselves off as master shapers" company. Similar to that dope that was posted about long ago....the dink in Calif, with the cute wife. Stoked surfboards. That numbnut buys whatever he can in bulk and then sells them and also claims "they're not that popout junk" This is just the same thing. The guy on craigslist has an email; surfboards4sale@aol.com

Do what feels right with that little bit of info!

For now, I'm going to go check and see if there's anything ridable on my hand-made, PU, made in America longboard.

i cant see the sarcasm flag... i had a chance to check these boards out... the look and smell great, not sure how the ride. The guy selling them is a real cool dude. But Mckevlins is the sure shot!! The boards are handcrafted in South Africa if i am not mistaken

This paragraph is straight from the "Bilt USA" website.

You tell me if it sounds like a "handcrafted" series of boards or if it's one mold producing the same boards.

7Angles, LLC (BILT SURF USA) is a vertically integrated surfboard manufacture with sales, marketing and distribution headquarters in Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA, that is supported by our facilities in Durban, South Africa. BILT SURF is a global supplier providing surfboards, surfing accessories & apparel and has an ongoing business manufacturing since 1996. At BILT SURF, we produce high quality custom performance surfboards & surfing equipment to our customers via competitive price points"

Actually it does sound "handcrafted".

A vertical manufacturer produces it's products from conception to delivery. From the look of those paint jobs it does look like it is contructed by someone who knows nothing about this sort of artistry.

Ian Riggs would never do such a hackjob.

Your comment about "vertical manufacturing" is correct in concept, however, it also follows "vertical marketing", which also is a wonderful scheme to make money.

It's easy to use any kind of terminology you want to sell a product and that is the point here. You can call it what you want, but by looking at the boards, the website and the "backyard dealer" on CL. It smells pretty foul on this end.

I'm not sure why I'm on such a tirade about all this.... so I'll put it to rest...

Not enough sleep, not enough money and not enough good surf...I'll write it off to that.

....good night Gracie.

Man, I hope those aren't pop-outs because that's the stand-up paddleboard I just got.

Plus, like anonymous said, I would never allow a hack job to leave my hands...(huhum cough)

so maybe we should just call "Bilt" ourselves and ask them a few qestions, because this is getting over my head... unlike the waves here... so my question here is.... it didn't have a painted on stringer... as far as i could see... pardon my ignorance here and spelling but , can there be a "pop-out" with a true stringer.
