Changes

Last year O'neill resurrected one of their older top of the line wetsuit models known as the Animal... sadly due to copyright issues with a British watch manufacturer O'neill was forced to rename the Animal and the Psycho Freak was born.

Last years Psycho Freak was a very warm suit, coming in either 3.5mm or 4.5mm, it was however a bit bulky and heavy. Fortunately some changes have been made to address these issues.

One of the biggest changes is in the thickness of the suits. Instead of a bulky 3.5mm or 4.5mm all over it now is a 3.5/2.5mm or a 4.5/3/5mm. Another change is the addition of the smoothy front. The divots that can be seen is part of what O'neill calls the XDS Air Fire Wall. Those divots are actually air pockets which provide extra insulation.

Last year's Psycho Freak only had the smoothy chest on the 4.5mm.

Another change made was to the knee pads. Instead of the flexible rubber knee pads from last year (right) they have added the "Krypto" knee pad. It definitely seems stronger, but it is the same pad that is found on the Mutant. They changed the Psycho 2 to include this Krypto pad as well so it is either better or cheaper.

Last year we didn't carry any of the Psycho Freaks but enough people ordered them so we thought we would carry a few. Stop by and check them out.
