IT working OT in the OC...

...all week Surflie has been hyping this massive swell scheduled to hit the West Coast. Well its not even waist high, and their servers have crashed from all the web traffic, along with the Wavewatch site. Don't believe the hype.

Its amazing how inaccurate and contradictory the surf forecasts are .You simply cannot rely on them. Thats good in a way.
Wanna give a shout out to GLUEFEST 09 festival at the Washout coming soon! Sponsored by the people of James island ,Mt. P , W.Ashley ,Charleston ,Summerville, the skipper ,maryann and the rest.

I too have noticed the same trend in the last few months. Living here on Folly, I started noticing that the "pay" surf forecasts sites were grossly inaccurate, when I compared them to "non-pay" surf forecast sites. Especially after this last hurricane season.
According to my calculations, all the surf forecast sites have not accurately forecast ANY swell in the last 3 months for Folly.
Just my 2 cents.
Moral of the story...DO NOT PAY for surf forecasting, go look for yourself or learn how to interpret the data from weather, wind, satellite adn buoy info sites.

"learn how to interpret the data from weather, wind, satellite and buoy info sites"

This is the green way to do it. Driving only wastes gas.

Or better yet,buy a SUP and every day will be killer!!!

On Folly we have come to expect small surf, but for California in the winter to be that small must suck. Don't worry though Ian, you will get waves before we do.

No worrying here. It's been head-high since noon yesterday, with reinforcement swell on the way. Light winds, 80 degrees, krippies... no complaints. Actually, f*** the longboarders. It's head high, go straight on something you can control.

...Oh, nevermind.

I have accounts with all the pay sites and I cross reference all the data to find the best possible spot.

I bet you do Knight Rider.

Krippies...haven't heard that since the late 80's-early 90's...way before another "Green Lifestyle" reference to the time of day in the afternoon became so popular...
Here on Fawlly, I just walk about 1/2 a block over and look at what is happening in the Atlantic Lake...that's what it has seemed like lately with no waves. Keeping it green.

I will get a pic of the notorious chinese garbage dump, I mean "surf shop" that is soon to close in C-Town. I saw the "For Lease" sign go up for the whole building. Unless Slurry Jones slips some photos to Drew...

More biz for core shops...like Olas and McK's!

Did Ian wave his "Magic Krippie MOIST" wand and take all of Folly's waves to the left coast?
Maybe Slurry should see if Ian stole our wave mojo?
