...Surfer, Dude.

...stopped by the ...Lost factory yesterday to perve on some boards. It's always interesting to see who's getting boards (lots of McKevlin's customs) from Matt and crew. Needless to say I was shocked when I saw a couple of boards for surfer dude Matthew McConaughey.

he might want to stop looking like he's taking a dump before he ditches the longboard

Saw a video of him surfing once, he looked like a beginner. But, I have no idea how long ago it was filmed...for all I know he could be a prodigy and shred the gnar by now. Or not?! As long as he's having fun and doesn't have his body guards out in the line up blocking for him. That photo is a hoot though, "looks like he's taking a dump"...priceless.

PS. Ian, tell those guys at Lost to get my 2008 Gullwing right this time.

I saw surfer dude. The movie was about the waves going really flat for awhile and everyone got really depressed and smoked a bunch of weed. It was something I could relate to.

LB, that 2008 Gullwing is archaic at best by now and won't work. You need a 2011 Ultrarocketroundnosestingermonkfish, with 7 different possible fin configurations. You'll need new fins too... because the old ones won't work.

It's the new rage....

Change in boards is certainly nothing new .Just like cars ,every single year they have to come up with something new to boost sales. Even In the sixties ,every spring a new gimmick ,either the skeg (fin) ,would be redesigned ,or the rails ,or something .Half the time it was progress ,half the time a gimmick ,half the time hard to tell which. Every year ,a new rage ,if you will. Time tells which rage sticks around,be it true innovation or gimmick.
All the gimmicks in the world won't help that poor clown in the pic.His publicist should keep cameras AWAY.That's some ugly surfing .Hurts my style to watch.

there's nothing like a fresh board. it's no gimmick.

Grumpy this would be my third Gullwing. I know what I like and works for me. Maybe you should try one...or maybe that old injury prevents it?

3rd time is the charm I guess. Maybe this time they will get it right.

LOL....

...and there's nothing like a fresh chain on your chainsaw. Fresh boards take some getting used to, but a fresh chain is true sweetness from the get go.

Grumps, yeah last time lost really screwed up my order...and I had to wait four months on it. Hope it's not another four on the reordered one.

Just in case anyone wondered..."Lost Boy" refers to a movie I used to really like "Lost Boys", it doesn't necessarally refer to lost surfboards which I do happen to like and own several. Ah who cares anyway!

Touche', bro....

See yall at Hero Beach with your thousand dollar surfboards... I'll be riding one I got out the trash, fixed and spray painted.... and still surf better than Drew.

That is all.

Kind of off topic but do u need a traction top if u get a fish?

Yes, probably best to let a shop dude put it on for you and don't forget the team members signature fin set up and Billabong hoodie.

You will be ripping cutting edge kine.

To Anonymous: If this is a serious question about track pads. Use one if you like them. Some guys put them on longboards (I don't know why). I use them on my shortboards and modern fishes like the Lost RNF. On retro fishes, with really wide tails I don't like them. It feels weird and looks out of place. But do use the proper temp wax. Fins are also something that can change the way your fish feels and handles, depends on the board. Ask Drew at McKev's he can point you in the right direction.
