Surfing the Pier

Just because you can't surf the pier during the day doesn't mean they can't (try).

Come on now.... that isn't the whole story.

A picture without context isn't fair to the lifeguards. I've seen what they do when they come in from a practice paddle and I have not seen one of them "stand up".

I may be an a$$hole but I like to a fair a$$hole.

Why did you leave so quick the other night Drew.... did I shame you that bad on my non descript 20 year old board or did you have to go home to Mommy?

Snicker.

They save lives. Why not make fun of cops next.

Cops, paramedics, firefighters, soldiers...

I think they all do.

I'm a paramedic, a lifeguard, but more importantly a surfer, and that is lame.

I agree, kneeboarding on a longboard is lame.

The lifeguards are not allowed to stand up. Many of them surf. The guy is coming in from a paddle. These guys work hard. I am sure people they have rescued apreciate them. They did not come up with the surfing laws. They have been in place for at least 8 years. Like the other guy said these guys are doing there job. Cut them some slack. Is keeping people from drwoning such a bad thing.Grow up
