...on the way

Chris Del Moro of Bing has released a few hand painted Limited Edition models of the Love Bird.

We are getting this one.

Not too sure of the Dims right now, but I'll post them when I get them.

I'm a quitter

The day I see these things at the washout will be the last day I surf.

I found this photo on another blog called Daily Donkey. A blog specializing in people surfing... badly. Check it out here.

Calif#*king go home

Now, there is nothing particularly funny about these people. Typical tourist types here for a little late season R and R. The reason they have found their way to your computer screen is due to a conversation myself and the gentleman had in passing. After commenting on how small the waves were and telling me that that he was from California where there are real waves, he went on to incredulously ask "How can people surf here?" Now I usually don't mind talking with customers about their state of origin, but when it is accompanied by a sense of entitlement I don't want to hear it.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate people from California. I just hate people who think that I care that they are from California.

Changes

Last year O'neill resurrected one of their older top of the line wetsuit models known as the Animal... sadly due to copyright issues with a British watch manufacturer O'neill was forced to rename the Animal and the Psycho Freak was born.

Last years Psycho Freak was a very warm suit, coming in either 3.5mm or 4.5mm, it was however a bit bulky and heavy. Fortunately some changes have been made to address these issues.

One of the biggest changes is in the thickness of the suits. Instead of a bulky 3.5mm or 4.5mm all over it now is a 3.5/2.5mm or a 4.5/3/5mm. Another change is the addition of the smoothy front. The divots that can be seen is part of what O'neill calls the XDS Air Fire Wall. Those divots are actually air pockets which provide extra insulation.

Last year's Psycho Freak only had the smoothy chest on the 4.5mm.

Another change made was to the knee pads. Instead of the flexible rubber knee pads from last year (right) they have added the "Krypto" knee pad. It definitely seems stronger, but it is the same pad that is found on the Mutant. They changed the Psycho 2 to include this Krypto pad as well so it is either better or cheaper.

Last year we didn't carry any of the Psycho Freaks but enough people ordered them so we thought we would carry a few. Stop by and check them out.

It Sucks to be a Lobster

I don't know if you have been up on the pier in awhile, but it looks like the classic claw grabber game has a new twist.

This is actually a claw machine that uses real live lobsters as prizes.

I guess this has been there for awhile, but come on...

Who knew trivializing life could be so much fun?

...pfffftt...
